Although the cannabis flower can be directly applied for medicinal purposes, its therapeutic potential can be boosted enormously by extracting the essential oils containing the active ingredients/cannabinoids. Once extracted, individual cannabinoids can be isolated, concentrated and mixed specifically for a particular disease indication or application form.
